Privacy policy

This page explains what Rimetra ("we", "us") collects when you visit rimetra-security.com or ask us for a quote, why we collect it, and who it is shared with. Questions or requests: privacy@rimetra-security.com.

What this policy covers

This policy covers our public website and its quote forms. If you are a customer, your use of the Rimetra console at app.rimetra-security.com, including camera footage and other data from your sites, is governed by your agreement with us.

What we collect

When you send us a quote request, we receive what you enter in the form:

• your name, work email, and phone number if you give one
• your company, the site's address, the kind of site and when you need coverage
• any message you write

Along with the form, we record:

• your IP address and the approximate location it indicates (city and region)
• whether you used a phone, tablet or computer (the category only)
• which of our ads or campaign links brought you to the site, if any, and which form you used

When you simply browse the site, the tools described below collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view, how you scroll and click, your browser and device type, and your approximate location.

How we use it

• to reply to your request with availability and a quote
• to protect our forms from spam and abuse
• to understand which ads and pages bring in interested customers
• to find and fix parts of the site that are confusing or broken

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run our website and business:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and stores quote requests. Its Turnstile check runs on our forms to tell people from bots, and Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
• Our email provider delivers each quote request to our team's inbox.
• Mapbox, and OpenStreetMap as a fallback, suggest addresses as you type the site location. Only the text you type is sent, from our server, not your IP address.
• Microsoft Clarity. We partner with Microsoft Clarity to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps and session replay, to improve the site. Website usage data is captured using first- and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies, and Clarity masks what you type into forms. • OpenAI runs the ChatGPT ads that link to this site. Its advertising pixel records your page views so we can measure how our ads perform. When a quote request is submitted, our server tells OpenAI that a lead came in, without your name, email or any other form details. See the OpenAI privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

Cookies and your choices

Clarity and the OpenAI pixel use cookies or similar technologies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and ad and tracker blockers will stop these tools from loading; the site and its forms work without them. These tools do not load in the customer console.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for as long as they are useful for following up with you and for our business records, and delete them sooner if you ask. Visit data held by Clarity, OpenAI and Cloudflare is kept according to their own retention periods.

Your requests

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing privacy@rimetra-security.com. We will answer within 30 days.

Security

Information is sent to us over encrypted connections and stored with access limited to our team. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect it.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
